Greek Island Yoga Retreat with Anna Karides

In the heart of the Aegean, Donousa remains one of Greece's best-kept secrets—a place where time slows, and nature takes the lead. This retreat invites you to immerse yourself in the island's raw beauty, combining daily yoga practices with island hikes through untouched landscapes. It's an experience designed for those seeking connection, simplicity, and a touch of adventure.

Our Island Home

Five days in an ecologically sustainable haven, nestled in the hillside above Livadi beach. Just a short walk from the sea along a scenic footpath, and completely surrounded by wild beauty. Powered by the sun, nourished by seasonal gardens, and designed to invite presence — this is a space to slow down and reconnect. Life here flows with the sun, the wind and the stars — barefoot mornings and sea-drenched afternoons feel perfectly at home.

In Rhythm with the Elements

Each day begins and ends with movement and breath in our open-air shala, shaded and serene, perched above the endless blue of the Aegean. With the scent of wild herbs in the air and the sound of the sea below, the practice becomes more than physical — it’s a sensory immersion, a return to presence.

Anna Karides, London-based yoga teacher known for her graceful, empowering style, will guide us through morning sessions that energize and awaken, and afternoon practices that soften and restore — weaving in elements of AcroYoga that are welcoming to all levels. Whether you’re new to yoga or  seasoned practitioner, the experience is crafted to meet you exactly where you are.

Anna is a leading Yoga and AcroYoga teacher in the UK, with nearly 20 years of experience teaching at some of London’s best studios. Her classes range from dynamic Vinyasa flows to therapeutic flying, blending her love for teaching with her passion for adventure and travel. Since 2015, Anna has been leading transformative retreats around the world, bringing her expertise and nurturing energy to each experience.

Embracing Island Life

Donousa is the kind of island that makes you forget time. Wild, unspoiled, and deeply local, it invites exploration — by foot, by boat, and by instinct. We’ll hike to hidden beaches, sail around secret coves on a traditional kaiki, and share meals at barefoot tavernas where everything is fresh and from the land. Whether it’s a fire ceremony under the stars, a spontaneous swim, or a long sunset walk, this retreat flows with the rhythm of the island — free, open, and full of soul.

Nourishment from the Earth

Food is a celebration on our retreats — inspired by traditional Greek cuisine, guided by the seasons, and rooted in what the island provides. Our meals are vegetarian with vegan options, always fresh, vibrant, and nourishing. We cater to the dietary needs of each guest, adjusting to personal preferences and requirements with care. We gather around the big shared table island-style, to enjoy long, leisurely brunches and dinners.
